Our Core Values at 3 Day Blinds and How They Manifest Every Day

When Kevin Rabbitt was named CEO of 3 Day Blinds almost a year ago, one of the first assignments for the team was to develop a set of Core Values.  It took us several weeks, with much debate (but in the end real consensus), to finalize them. 

And what are they?

#1:  Integrity:  Meeting commitments, large and small

#2:  One Team:  Working together with alignment and respect

#3:  Superior Client Experience:  Expert, personalized, and consistent client care

#4:  Excellence: High quality, every time, continuously improve

#5:  Passion:  Engaged in our work, enjoying the experience

So, what happened next?

As you might expect, Kevin reviewed the Core Values in one of the Town Hall Meetings early in his tenure, they were put on a Power Point slide, and presented to our board of directors and then, as one might expect, the associated signage appeared around the office.

Then what?  Rather than checking this task off of our lists and moving on, we started incorporating our Core Values into the small and large decisions that we make.  

And we started recognizing our peers who actually “live” the Core Values every day at work.  Here are the people in our organization who were recognized by their peers last month for living the 3 Day Blinds Core Values at work:
